I’m looking at the current edition of time magazine and the cover is an image of angry mob of what I’m guessing to be are middle eastern men. The whole page is in a red tint, except in the bottom right corner where one of the angry mob members is holding a book open in the air. The book is in a greyish-blue tint, with what looks to be arabic writing. Based on the design of the border of the pages and the style of the text, it looks its a Quran…Um I’m not sure what the magazine is getting at…Whats up with that..

So, you’re an Atheist? Please debate with me for hours about the Qur’an you’ve never actually read.

With Ease.

So one thing I learned in these last few days, is that if you want to reach any sense of contentment or ease, you HAVE to let go. You have to let go of things that made you upset and not dwell too much on the things that made you happy. Notice I say past tense and both happy and sad. I think if something made you upset in the past, that thing will always make you upset in the future, and if something made you happy in the past, you only look for that in the future to make you happy. If we let go of these things, perhaps, we’ll find happiness and ease in unconventional things and find less distress in the conventional things. Inshallah we all find ease.

“For indeed with hardship there will be ease. Indeed with hardship there will be ease”. - Quran [94:5-6]

"The Last Prophet (PBUH) said: “Verily the one who recites the Qur’an beautifully, smoothly, and precisely, he will be in the company of the noble and obedient angels. And as for the one who recites with difficulty, stammering or stumbling through its verses (because he doesn’t know how to read it but is trying to), then he will have TWICE that reward."
